‘Farm fresh’ organic produce from a garden right on site was sold at Park Spring Apartments in Spring City yesterday for the first time. Haron Bunkley, a resident of Park Spring, is being trained by Triskeles to manage the garden and a weekly market selling the produce to other residents from the parking lot right by the garden.

Fresh rainbow chard, kale, and beautiful heads of bibb lettuce were on the market shelves–all picked an hour earlier by Haron and Ed Rodriguez, Social Service coordinator. Residents stopped by to look, admire, ask questions, and then BUY the very reasonably priced produce.

Markets will be held weekly from now on. Yvonne Post, of Cooking for Real, is training Haron in farmers market techniques and skills, and Sebastian Kretschmer, Triskeles’ garden consultant, is teaching the gardening skills.
