Twelve youth from Park Spring Apartments in Spring City have been learning healthy cooking skills from Triskeles and Cooking for Real chef Lauren Blood and Triskeles Asst. Director Bob Steininger. As a finale to their lessons, they chose their ideal menu and made it themselves, from scratch. Shish Kebobs, lasagne, yams, salad, cornbread, potatoes, monkey bread and key lime pie. All came out tasting delicious and was eaten with pleasure by the young cooks.

The key lesson this night was that it’s possible to make foods which you might normally buy pre-packaged yourself–and make them healthier.
